Washington St.), walk east to the bus stop. Take Bus Route 8 (Washington) towards the east. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop at E. Washington St. & S. Alabama St. From there, walk south on Alabama St. until you reach E. Maryland St. Turn left on Maryland St. and continue until you reach the Indianapolis Historic Preserve located at 200 E Washington St #1801.

If you are already in the Market East District or nearby, the Indianapolis Historic Preserve is easily accessible by foot. Start at the intersection of E. Washington St. and S. Alabama St. Head east on Washington St. for about 2 blocks until you reach 200 E Washington St. The entrance to the Preserve will be on your right. It is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Indiana State House.

For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-share stations in downtown Indianapolis. Start at a nearby station (like in the City Market) and head east on Washington St. Ride for about 1 mile until you reach 200 E Washington St. You will find bike racks available near the entrance of the Indianapolis Historic Preserve.
