If you are traveling by car from anywhere in East Central Indiana, you will want to get onto I-70 W. Follow I-70 W for approximately 40 miles until you reach the exit for I-65 S towards Louisville. Continue on I-65 S for about 5 miles. Take exit 112A for I-70 E toward Columbus. Merge onto I-70 E and continue for about half a mile. Take exit 83A toward Washington St. After exiting, continue straight onto E Washington St. and make a right onto S Meridian St. After a few blocks, turn left onto E New York St. The Old Indianapolis Fire Department Headquarters Building will be on your left at 301 E New York St, Indianapolis, IN 46204. Parking may be available on the street or in nearby parking lots, which may incur a fee.

Depending on where you are, you may need to transfer buses. Once you arrive at the IndyGo hub, take the Route 8 bus towards Washington St. and get off at the Washington St. and Meridian St. stop. From there, walk east on Washington St. until you reach S Meridian St., then turn left and walk north until you reach E New York St. Turn left again, and the Old Indianapolis Fire Department Headquarters Building will be on your left at 301 E New York St. Keep in mind that IndyGo bus fares are approximately $1.75 for a one-way trip.
