  • Walking

    Starting from downtown Michigan City, head north on Franklin St towards 5th St. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with US-20. Cross US-20 at the traffic light to remain on Franklin St. After crossing, turn right and walk east along US-20 for about 0.5 miles. Look for a bus stop or a bike rental shop along the way if you need rest or alternative transport. After approximately 0.5 miles, you'll reach the intersection of US-20 and Barker Rd. At this intersection, turn left onto Barker Rd. Continue walking north for about 0.3 miles. Save the Dunes will be on your left at 444 Barker Rd.

    If you are near the Michigan City Public Library, you can catch a bus at the nearest bus stop. Board the Route 1 bus heading towards the Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at US-20 and Barker Rd. From there, disembark and walk north on Barker Rd for about 0.3 miles. Save the Dunes will be on your left at 444 Barker Rd.     If you have a bike, start at the Michigan City Lighthouse. Head east along the lakefront path until you reach Washington Park.
