If you are driving from The Dunes, start by heading east on US-12 E. Continue for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with I-65 N. Merge onto I-65 N via the ramp on the left towards Chicago. Stay on I-65 N for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 253 for US-30 W towards Merrillville. After exiting, turn left onto US-30 W and continue for about 4 miles. Then, turn right onto Old Lincoln Hwy. Deep River County Park will be on your left at 9410 Old Lincoln Hwy, Hobart, IN 46342.

To reach Deep River County Park via public transportation, first, take the South Shore Line train from the Dunes area towards Chicago. Get off at the Gary Metro Center stop. From there, transfer to the Gary Public Transit. Board the bus heading towards Hobart (check the local schedule for specific routes and times). Disembark at the nearest stop to Old Lincoln Hwy and walk approximately 0.5 miles to reach the park entrance located at 9410 Old Lincoln Hwy, Hobart, IN 46342.
