Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the central area of The Dunes, start by heading east on Dunes Park Ave. Continue on Dunes Park Ave until you reach US-12 E. Turn left onto US-12 E and follow it for about 4 miles. Then, take the exit onto IN-49 N toward La Porte. After approximately 8 miles, take the exit for US-35 N toward La Porte. Continue on US-35 N for about 10 miles, then turn left onto N Wozniak Rd. Pinhook Bog will be on your left at 945 N Wozniak Rd, La Porte, IN 46350. Note that parking is available on-site, and there may be no entrance fee, but it's always good to check for any updates on fees via the [NPS website](https://www.nps.gov/indu/planyourvisit/pb16.htm).

• Public Transportation

  To reach Pinhook Bog using public transportation, start by taking a South Shore Line train from the Dunes Park station towards Millennium Station in Chicago. Get off at the Michigan City station. From there, you will need to transfer to the Route 20 bus towards La Porte. The bus will take you to the La Porte area. Once you arrive in La Porte, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to the address 945 N Wozniak Rd, La Porte, IN 46350, as public transportation does not directly service this location. Be prepared for a taxi fare that could range from $10 to $20 depending on the distance from the bus stop.
