From Blangkejeren, follow the signs to Mount Leuser National Park. Be aware that some roads may be in poor condition, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

From Banda Aceh, take a bus to Medan. There are several bus companies that operate this route, and the journey takes about 4-6 hours. Once in Medan, you can take another bus towards Takengon.
