Take the Banda Aceh - Medan road (Route 1), and follow the signs towards Takengon. Once you reach Takengon, continue towards the town of Blangkejeren. From Blangkejeren, follow the signs to Mount Leuser National Park. Be aware that some roads may be in poor condition, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

    From Banda Aceh, take a bus to Medan. There are several bus companies that operate this route, and the journey takes about 4-6 hours. Once in Medan, you can take another bus towards Takengon. After reaching Takengon, look for a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Blangkejeren. This leg of the journey may take up to 2-3 hours.
