If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Banda Aceh and head southeast on the Jalan Laksamana Malahayati road. Continue for approximately 50 km until you reach the town of Takengon. Once in Takengon, follow local signs for Ulu Nuih and Bebesen. The journey will take around 2-3 hours depending on traffic. Upon reaching Ulu Nuih, keep an eye out for directional signs to Pantan Terong, which is located in the vicinity. Parking is available near the entrance, and a small fee of IDR 5000 per person is required for entry.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a minibus (angkot) from Banda Aceh to Takengon. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours, and the fare is around IDR 30,000. Once you arrive in Takengon, you can hire a local taxi or take another angkot heading towards Ulu Nuih. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they go to Pantan Terong or ask locals for assistance. Expect to pay an additional IDR 20,000-30,000 for the taxi ride or IDR 10,000 if you take an angkot. Upon arrival, you'll also need to pay the entrance fee of IDR 5000.
