Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From Ubud, take a public bus to Bangli. Buses leave from the Ubud Bus Station. The journey takes about 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Bangli, head to the Bangli terminal and transfer to a local minibus heading towards Kintamani. Make sure to inform the driver you want to get off at South Batur. The minibus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. After disembarking, follow the signs to Batur Caldera Geopark, which is about a 10-minute walk.

  • Bicycle

    If you are in Ubud and prefer cycling, rent a bicycle and head north towards Kintamani. Follow Jalan Raya Ubud, then continue on Jalan Raya Tegallalang, which will take you through scenic rice fields. After approximately 25 km, you will reach Kintamani. From there, follow the signs towards South Batur. The ride may take around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Be prepared for some uphill climbs.
