Public Bus
To reach Bukit Asah from Ubud, start at the Ubud Central Bus Station. Take a bus heading towards Amlapura or Karangasem. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Get off at the Manggis stop. From there, you can hire a local 'ojek' (motorbike taxi) to take you directly to Bukit Asah. The ride will take around 20 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle in Candidasa, which is about 30 minutes away from Bukit Asah. Head east along the main road, following signs toward Manggis. After about 7 kilometers, turn left towards Sengkidu. Continue for another 3 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Bukit Asah. This route offers beautiful views of the coastline and rice paddies.
Walking
If you are staying in Sengkidu, you can walk to Bukit Asah. Start from the center of Sengkidu village and head east. Follow the path along the coastline for about 3 kilometers. The walk will take approximately 45 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views of the sea and hills along the way, and keep an eye out for local wildlife.
Taxi (Bali Taxi)
If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can book a taxi through a ride-hailing app like Gojek or Grab. Simply input 'Bukit Asah' as your destination. The driver will pick you up from your location in Bali. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to check the estimated fare before confirming the ride.
