From Denpasar, head to the Ubung Bus Terminal. Take a bus heading to Amlapura or Karangasem. The bus ride will take approximately 2-3 hours. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at Manggis. Once you reach Manggis, you can catch a local bemo (shared minivan) to Sengkidu. The bemo will drop you off near the Sengkidu area, from where you can start your hike to Bukit Gumang.

If you're staying in Candidasa, rent a bicycle and cycle towards Sengkidu. Follow the coastal road east, enjoying the scenic views. After about 5 kilometers, you will reach the junction for Sengkidu.
