Getting There
Bicycle
If you are near Ubud, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many shops. From Ubud, head south on Jl. Raya Ubud until you reach the T-junction with Jl. Raya Goa Gajah. Turn left onto Jl. Raya Goa Gajah and continue until you reach Jl. Raya Bukit Asah. Follow the signs to Virgin Beach, which is about 15 km away.
Public Transportation (Bemo)
From Ubud, go to the Ubud Traditional Market and catch a bemo (local minibus) heading to Amlapura. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Bugbug. The journey will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Bugbug, ask locals for directions to Virgin Beach, which is about a 5-minute walk from the main road.
Walking
If you are staying in the nearby village of Bugbug, walk towards Jl. Raya Bukit Asah. Head east on Jl. Raya Bugbug and follow it until you see signs for Virgin Beach. The beach is about a 20-minute walk from the village.
Motorbike Rental
Rent a motorbike from a rental shop in nearby Candidasa. Head east on Jl. Raya Candidasa, then turn onto Jl. Raya Bukit Asah. Follow this road until you arrive at Virgin Beach, which is well-signed along the way. The distance is around 9 km and takes about 20 minutes.
