If you're in Ubud, head to the Ubud Market area and look for the 'Bemo' (shared public bus) stop. Take a Bemo heading to Tegallalang. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Kedisan. Once you arrive in Kedisan, ask locals for directions to Jl. Raya Bayad, where Ulu Petanu Waterfall is located. It's about a 20-minute walk from the Bemo drop-off point.
Motorbike Taxi (Gojek or Grab)
Download the Gojek or Grab app on your phone. Enter 'Ulu Petanu Waterfall' or the address 'manik sawang, Jl. Raya Bayad, Kedisan, Tegallalang' as your destination. The app will guide you to the nearest pickup point and provide you with the estimated fare. Once you confirm the ride, the driver will take you directly to the waterfall.
Walking
If you are nearby in Tegallalang and want to experience the area, you can walk to Ulu Petanu Waterfall. Start from the Tegallalang Rice Terraces and head east towards Jl. Raya Bayad. Follow the road signs and ask locals for directions. The waterfall is about a 30-minute walk from the rice terraces.
Bicycle Rental
If you’re feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle from a shop in Ubud or Tegallalang. Ride towards Jl. Raya Bayad while enjoying the scenic views. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the main road, follow the signs to the waterfall. Be aware that the last part of the journey involves a steep uphill path.
