Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Borobudur, head southwest on Jl. Raya Borobudur for about 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Candirejo. After reaching the T-junction at Candirejo, turn left onto Jl. Butuh. Continue straight for approximately 3 kilometers until you see the sign for Watu Kendhil. Make sure to park your car in a safe area before walking to the site.

  • Public Transportation (Minibus)

    From Borobudur, you can take a local minibus heading towards Candirejo. These minibuses are usually located near the main entrance of the Borobudur temple. The fare is quite affordable, usually around IDR 10,000 to IDR 15,000. Inform the driver that you want to go to Watu Kendhil, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. After disembarking, walk about 500 meters along Jl. Butuh to reach Watu Kendhil.
