Car
If you are driving, start from Jayapura city center. Head southeast on Jl. Raya Abepura toward Jl. Papua. Follow this road for approximately 35 km until you reach the Ebungfau area. Look for signs indicating Atabar, as Danau Emfote is near that area. Once you arrive in Atabar, navigate to the coordinates 8GQQ+MV4, which will lead you directly to Danau Emfote. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as some roads may not be well maintained.
Public Transportation
From Jayapura, head to the main bus terminal and take a bus heading towards Ebungfau. The fare is usually around IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000 depending on the bus service. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Atabar. After approximately 1-2 hours, you should arrive in Atabar. From there, you can either walk or hire a local motorcycle taxi (ojek) to take you to Danau Emfote. The ojek ride should cost around IDR 20,000.

For a more comfortable yet pricier option, consider hiring a taxi from Jayapura. This can be arranged from your hotel or through local taxi services. The cost will vary but expect to pay around IDR 400,000 to IDR 600,000 for a one-way trip to Danau Emfote.
