Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Wamena, the main city in Central Papua. Head southeast on Jalan Raya Wamena for approximately 20 km until you reach the junction of Usilimo. Turn left onto the road leading to Usilimo and continue for another 30 km. Keep an eye out for local signs pointing towards Gua lokale. Upon reaching Usilimo, follow the signs to Gua lokale located at the coordinates 3VHC+6R, which is near the village center.
Public Transportation (Minibus)
From Wamena, take a minibus heading towards Usilimo. These minibuses regularly depart from the main terminal in Wamena. The fare is approximately IDR 50,000 to IDR 70,000. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Usilimo. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Usilimo, you can either walk to Gua lokale, which is about a 15-minute walk, or hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) for a small fee.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, from the center of Usilimo, head west on the main road. Keep an eye out for directional signs to Gua lokale. The walk will take approximately 15 minutes, and you will pass through local scenery and possibly meet friendly residents. Make sure to carry water and wear comfortable shoes.
