If you're traveling by car, start from Surabaya, the capital city of East Java. Head east on the Jl. A. Yani road towards Mojokerto. After approximately 70 km, take the exit towards Jl. Raya Mojokerto - Jombang. Continue on this road for about 15 km until you reach Trowulan. Look for signs to Candi Gentong, which is located at F94H+F6F, Telogo Gede, Trowulan, Mojokerto Regency. There is a parking area available near the site. Note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around IDR 5,000.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Surabaya to Mojokerto Station. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at Mojokerto Station, you can take a local minibus (angkot) or a motorcycle taxi (ojek) to Trowulan. The minibus ride will take about 30-40 minutes and costs around IDR 15,000. Make sure to tell the driver you’re heading to Candi Gentong, and they will drop you off at the nearest point.

If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a motorcycle or scooter in Surabaya or Mojokerto. This gives you the flexibility to explore the area at your own pace. The rental cost is usually around IDR 75,000 to IDR 100,000 per day. From Mojokerto, follow the directions to Trowulan as previously mentioned, and you can easily navigate to Candi Gentong.
