Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Surabaya, the capital of East Java. Take the Jl. Raya Juanda road and head towards the Suramadu Bridge (Jembatan Suramadu), which connects Surabaya to Madura Island. Once you cross the bridge, continue on the main road (Jl. Raya Madura) for about 30 km. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Jaddih Hill (Bukit Jaddih). Turn onto Jl. Jaddih and follow the road until you reach the entrance to Jaddih Hill. Parking is available on site, and there is usually no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first make your way to the Bungurasih Terminal in Surabaya. From there, you can take a bus heading to Bangkalan, Madura. The bus ride typically takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Bangkalan bus station, you can take a local minibus (angkot) or a motorcycle taxi (ojek) to Jaddih Hill. The distance from the bus station to Jaddih Hill is approximately 15 km, and the ride should cost around IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000. Ensure to negotiate the fare in advance if you choose an ojek.
Motorcycle Rental
If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a motorcycle in Surabaya. There are several rental shops near the city center. After renting, follow the same route as when traveling by car, heading to the Suramadu Bridge and then towards Jaddih Hill. Be cautious of local traffic rules and road conditions. The rental cost is generally around IDR 75,000 to IDR 150,000 per day, not including fuel.
Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service
You can also opt for a taxi or a ride-hailing service like Grab or Gojek from Surabaya directly to Jaddih Hill. This method offers convenience but can be more expensive, with fares typically ranging from IDR 200,000 to IDR 400,000 depending on the time and traffic conditions. Make sure to confirm the estimated fare before starting your journey.
