If you are driving from Yogyakarta, take the Jl. Solo - Yogyakarta road (Jl. Jend. Sudirman) and follow the signs for Borobudur. The journey is approximately 40 km and takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Borobudur, look for parking areas near the entrance. There is an entrance fee of IDR 50,000 for domestic tourists and IDR 375,000 for foreign tourists.

From Yogyakarta, you can take a bus from the Giwangan Bus Station to Borobudur. Look for buses heading to Magelang; make sure to inform the driver to drop you off at Borobudur. The bus fare is approximately IDR 30,000 and the trip takes around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive, it’s a short walk to the temple entrance.

You can take a train from Yogyakarta to Magelang Station. After arriving at Magelang, you will need to take a taxi or a local minibus to Borobudur which is about 30 km away. The train ticket price varies from IDR 80,000 to IDR 150,000 depending on the class. The taxi fare from Magelang to Borobudur is around IDR 100,000.
