If you're traveling by car to Madakaripura Waterfall, start your journey from Surabaya. Head east on the Jl. Raya Surabaya-Malang (Route 1) for about 2 hours until you reach the town of Probolinggo. From Probolinggo, take the Jl. Raya Bromo (Route 3) towards Lumbang. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you see signs for Madakaripura Waterfall. There is a parking area near the entrance, where you'll need to pay a parking fee of around IDR 10,000. From the parking area, you'll need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach the waterfall.
Public Transportation
To reach Madakaripura Waterfall using public transportation, first take a bus from Surabaya to Probolinggo, which takes about 3 hours and costs around IDR 40,000 to 60,000. Upon arriving in Probolinggo, you can hire a local minibus or take an ojek (motorbike taxi) to Lumbang, which is about 30 kilometers away. The minibus fare will be around IDR 20,000 per person. Once you reach Lumbang, you will need to arrange an ojek to the waterfall entrance, which can cost around IDR 30,000. After arriving at the entrance, you’ll walk approximately 1 kilometer to the waterfall.
