Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, you can start your journey from Labuan Bajo, the nearest major town. From Labuan Bajo, head east on Jalan Soekarno Hatta for about 25 kilometers. Follow the signs toward Tanjung Boleng. Once you reach Tanjung Boleng, look for local signs directing you to Gua Rangko. The final stretch may include a dirt road, so proceed with caution. Parking is available near the cave entrance.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Gua Rangko using public transportation, take a minibus or shared taxi from Labuan Bajo to Tanjung Boleng. The fare is approximately IDR 50,000-75,000 per person. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes depending on road conditions. Once you arrive at Tanjung Boleng, you may need to hire a local guide or a motorcycle taxi to take you the remaining distance to Gua Rangko, which will cost an additional IDR 20,000-30,000.

• Motorcycle

  For a more adventurous route, consider renting a motorcycle in Labuan Bajo. After renting, take the same route towards Tanjung Boleng. Make sure to wear a helmet and drive cautiously, as the roads can be bumpy. The rental cost is typically around IDR 75,000-100,000 per day, and you should refuel at stations in Labuan Bajo before you start your trip.

• Walking

  If you're already in Tanjung Boleng and prefer to walk, Gua Rangko is approximately 3 kilometers from the village center. Follow the coastal path, enjoying the scenic views of the ocean. This route may take about 30-40 minutes on foot. Ensure you have comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water.
