Getting There

• Boat

  To reach Bangko Bangko from the Gili Islands, start by taking a boat from either Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, or Gili Meno to the mainland port at Bangsal. Boats typically run frequently throughout the day, and the fare is around IDR 15,000 to IDR 25,000. Ensure to check the schedule in advance for departure times.

• Car or Motorcycle Rental

  Once you arrive at Bangsal harbor, you will need to rent a car or a motorcycle to reach Bangko Bangko, which is approximately a 1.5 hour drive away. There are several rental services available at the harbor. Expect to pay around IDR 300,000 to IDR 500,000 for a car rental for a day, and IDR 75,000 to IDR 150,000 for a motorcycle. Make sure to have your driver's license and be prepared for local driving conditions.

• Public Transportation (Bemo)

  Alternatively, if you prefer using public transport, you can take a 'bemo' (a shared minivan) from Bangsal to Sekotong. You will need to ask locals for the exact location of the bemo terminal. The fare for this journey is usually around IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000. Once in Sekotong, you may need to hire a local taxi or a scooter to get to Bangko Bangko.

• Walking

  If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can walk to Bangko Bangko from Sekotong, but be prepared for a long trek of approximately 8 km. Ensure you have sufficient water and sun protection, as there may not be many facilities along the way.
