Car Rental
If you are in the city of Mataram, you can rent a car for more flexibility. Drive west on Jalan Raya Mataram - Lembar (also known as the Mataram-Lembar Road) towards Lembar Port. After approximately 30 km, turn onto Jalan Raya Sekotong and continue south for about 20 km. Look for signs to Batu Putih and turn onto the road leading to the beach area. Desert Point is located at Batu Putih, Sekotong, which is a popular surf spot. Ensure to have a GPS or map app handy for easier navigation.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Mataram, head to the main bus terminal (Terminal Mandalika). Take a bus heading to Lembar or Sekotong. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at Sekotong. Once you arrive in Sekotong, you may need to take a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) to reach Desert Point, which is about 10 km further. The ojek ride should cost around IDR 30,000 to IDR 50,000.
