Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Biak. Head southeast on Jl. Raya Sandi towards Yawosi. After approximately 32 kilometers, take a left turn onto a smaller road that leads to Karmon. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near Karmon Waterfall. Be aware that some parts of the road may be unpaved, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Karmon Waterfall via public transportation, first take a minibus from Biak to Yawosi. The fare is approximately IDR 20,000. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Karmon. From there, you may need to hire a local motorcycle taxi (ojek) for around IDR 30,000 to take you the remaining 5 kilometers to the waterfall. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.

  • Walking

    If you are feeling adventurous and are already at the junction for Karmon, you can walk the remaining 5 kilometers. The path is scenic but may be challenging in places, so wear good walking shoes and be prepared for some uneven terrain. It will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to walk to the waterfall.
