Car
If you are driving from Yogyakarta, take the Jalan Solo-Yogyakarta road and continue towards Wonosari. From Wonosari, follow the signs to Tepus and then to Pantai Timang. The journey is approximately 2 hours (55 km) from Yogyakarta. Once you arrive in Tepus, follow the local signs to Pulau Timang. Parking is available near the beach.
Public Transportation
To reach Pulau Timang using public transportation, take a bus from Yogyakarta to Wonosari. Buses leave from Giwangan Terminal, and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Wonosari, you can take an ojek (motorcycle taxi) or local minibus to Tepus. The ride from Wonosari to Tepus may take around 30 minutes. From Tepus, you can hire a local boat to reach Pulau Timang; expect to pay around IDR 100,000 to IDR 150,000 for the boat ride, depending on the negotiation.

If you are in the vicinity of Tepus and prefer a quicker option, you can hire an ojek to take you directly to Pulau Timang from Tepus beach. This ride should cost between IDR 20,000 to IDR 50,000 based on negotiation and distance.
Boat
After arriving at the beach in Tepus, you will need to take a local boat to Pulau Timang. The boats are usually small and can accommodate a few passengers. The boat ride typically lasts around 15-20 minutes, and prices range from IDR 100,000 to IDR 150,000 per person. Ensure that you negotiate the price before boarding.
