  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Jakarta. Take the Jakarta-Merak toll road (Toll Road 1) heading west. After approximately 2 hours, take the exit towards Serang and follow the signs to Pandeglang. Continue on the road until you reach Labuan, then follow the signs towards Ujung Kulon National Park. The park entrance is located near Ujungjaya, Banten. The total travel time is around 4-5 hours depending on traffic. Make sure to have a GPS or map handy, as mobile signal may be limited in some areas.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Jakarta, you can take a bus to Rangkasbitung from the Kalideres bus terminal. Buses leave frequently (around every 30 minutes) and the journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Rangkasbitung, transfer to a local bus heading to Labuan. This leg of the journey will take around 1-1.5 hours. From Labuan, you can hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the entrance of Ujung Kulon National Park. The total cost for the bus ride will be around IDR 50,000 to IDR 70,000.

    Alternatively, you can take a train from Jakarta to Rangkasbitung. Trains depart from Jakarta Kota Station and the journey takes approximately 2 hours. After arriving at Rangkasbitung, transfer to a local bus heading to Labuan, which takes about 1-1.5 hours. Finally, hire a local ojek to reach the park entrance in Ujungjaya, Banten. The train ticket cost ranges from IDR 80,000 to IDR 150,000 depending on the class.

  • Boat

    If you are looking for a more adventurous route, consider taking a boat from Labuan to the islands within Ujung Kulon National Park. There are several tour operators that offer boat services. It's advisable to book in advance. The boat ride can take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your destination within the park.
