If you are starting from Ambon, the capital of Maluku, you can rent a car or take a taxi to the port of Tulehu. The drive will take approximately 1 hour. From Ambon, you can take a public minibus (angkot) to Tulehu. The fare is approximately IDR 20,000 and the journey takes about 1 hour. At Tulehu, board the ferry to Kisar Island, costing around IDR 50,000 and taking about 2 hours. Once you reach Kisar, find local fishermen or a transportation service to take you to Babar Island by boat. The boat ride may cost around IDR 200,000 and will take about 1-2 hours.
Flight and Boat Combination
