If you are driving, start from the city center of Ambon, Maluku. Head east on Jalan Diponegoro toward Jalan Sultan Baabullah. Continue straight for about 14 km until you reach the junction at Poka. Take the right onto Jalan Raya Poka and continue for approximately 20 km. Follow the signs to Banda Neira and take a ferry from the harbor to Banda Island. Once you arrive at Banda Neira, take the road towards Waer. BENTENG CONCORDIA is located at CWXX+8HV, Waer, Banda, Central Maluku Regency, which will be approximately 5 km from the ferry terminal.
Public Transportation (Bus & Ferry)
To reach BENTENG CONCORDIA by public transportation, start from Ambon. Take a bus from the Ambon bus station to the harbor. Buses to Banda Neira are available, and the fare is around IDR 50,000 to IDR 75,000. After reaching the harbor, purchase a ferry ticket to Banda Neira (approximately IDR 100,000). Once you arrive in Banda Neira, you can take a local taxi or bemo to Waer, where BENTENG CONCORDIA is located. The taxi fare should cost around IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000 depending on negotiation.
Motorbike Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Banda Neira. After you arrive by ferry from Ambon, head to one of the local rental shops near the ferry terminal. Rental prices typically range from IDR 75,000 to IDR 100,000 per day. Follow the same route towards Waer as mentioned earlier, which is approximately a 10-minute ride from Banda Neira. Ensure you have a valid driver's license and wear a helmet.
