If you are driving, start from Ambon City and take the road towards Tulehu. Follow the signs towards the Banda Islands ferry terminal. Once you reach the terminal, park your car in the designated parking area. Purchase a ferry ticket to Banda Neira, which generally costs around IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000 depending on the ferry service. The ferry ride takes about 2 to 3 hours. Upon arriving at Banda Neira, you can opt for a local taxi or a motorcycle taxi (ojek) to reach Fort Belgica, which is approximately 2 km away from the harbor.
Public Transportation

From Ambon City, head to the nearest public transportation terminal and take a minibus (angkot) to Tulehu. The fare should be around IDR 20,000. Once you arrive at Tulehu, walk to the Banda Islands ferry terminal and purchase a ticket to Banda Neira. The ferry usually departs several times a day, so check the schedule in advance. After about 2 to 3 hours of travel, you will reach Banda Neira. From the harbor, you can either take a local taxi or motorcycle taxi (ojek) to Fort Belgica, which is about 2 km away. The taxi fare should be around IDR 20,000.
Walking

After arriving in Banda Neira, if you prefer to walk to Fort Belgica, head east from the harbor along the main road. It’s a scenic 20 to 30-minute walk to the fort. Just follow the signs or ask locals for directions, as the fort is a well-known landmark.
