Car
If you are starting from Ambon, the capital of Maluku, drive south to the port of Tulehu, which is about 25 km away. Here, you will take a ferry to the island of Kisar. The ferry ride will take about 1-2 hours and costs approximately 50,000 IDR. After arriving at Kisar, you can drive to the nearest port, which is in Tepa, and take another ferry to the Kai Islands. Make sure to check the ferry schedules in advance as they may vary.

From Ambon, you can take a minibus (angkot) to Tulehu for about 15,000 IDR. Once at Tulehu port, purchase your ferry ticket to Kisar and board the ferry. The combined cost for the minibus and ferry should be around 100,000 IDR.
