Car
If you are driving to Kalamata Fortress from Ternate City, head south on Jl. Soekarno-Hatta towards Jl. Bypass. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers. Turn left onto Jl. Kayu Merah and follow the signs for the fortress. The fortress will be on your right. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation (Bus)
Take a public bus from the central bus station in Ternate City heading towards Kayu Merah. The fare is typically around IDR 10,000. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Kalamata Fortress. The bus will drop you off within walking distance of the fortress. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions.
Motorcycle Taxi (Ojek)
For a faster option, you can hire an Ojek (motorcycle taxi) from anywhere in Ternate City. The fare to Kalamata Fortress usually ranges from IDR 15,000 to IDR 25,000 depending on your pickup location. Make sure to negotiate the price before starting your ride.
Walking
If you are staying close to Kayu Merah, you can walk to Kalamata Fortress. From Kayu Merah, head towards Jl. Kayu Merah and you will find signs directing you to the fortress. It is a pleasant walk and will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
