Car Rental
If you are starting from Ternate City, rent a car from one of the local rental services available in the city. The drive to Tolire-kecil takes approximately 30 minutes. Head east on Jl. Ahmad Yani, then take the road to Togafo. Follow the signs towards Togafo, Pulau Ternate. Once you reach Togafo, continue following the local roads until you arrive at the lake. Ensure to check for road conditions before leaving as they can vary.
Public Transportation
From Ternate City, take a public minibus (angkot) heading towards Togafo. The fare is usually around 10,000 IDR (Indonesian Rupiah). Ask the driver to drop you off at Togafo. Once you arrive in Togafo, you may need to walk or hire a local motorcycle taxi (ojek) to take you the remaining distance to Tolire-kecil, which is about 10 minutes away. The ojek fare should not exceed 20,000 IDR.
Walking
If you are already in Togafo, you can walk to Tolire-kecil. It’s approximately a 30-minute walk from the center of Togafo. Follow the main road towards the lake; locals are friendly and can provide directions if needed. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain may vary.
