Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Ambon, the capital city of Maluku, take the highway heading east towards the port of Tulehu. From Ambon, it is approximately a 30-minute drive (about 24 km). At Tulehu, you will find ferries that can take you to the nearby islands. Follow the signs to the ferry terminal and purchase a ticket for the ferry to the nearest island, which is usually Hatta Island or Saparua Island.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer to use public transportation, take a minibus or angkot from Ambon to Tulehu. The fare is generally around IDR 15,000-20,000 per person and the journey will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at Tulehu, head to the ferry terminal and buy a ticket for a ferry heading to Hatta Island or Saparua Island. The ferry ride will take approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the destination and sea conditions.

• Ferry

  Upon arriving at Hatta Island or Saparua Island, you will need to find a local boat or arrange a private boat transfer to Rozengain Island. This can often be arranged at the ferry terminal or through local boat operators. Make sure to negotiate the price before embarking, which typically ranges from IDR 200,000 to IDR 500,000 depending on the size of the boat and number of passengers. The boat ride to Rozengain Island will take about 30-45 minutes.

• Local Boat Transfer

  Once you are on Rozengain Island, local transport options might be limited, so be sure to arrange your return journey in advance. It's advisable to negotiate a round-trip fare with the boat operator when you first arrive to ensure a smooth return to the mainland.
