Follow the signs to the ferry terminal for Sahang Port. The drive takes about 30 minutes. At Sahang Port, you will need to take a ferry to Bunaken. Ensure you check the ferry schedule in advance, as it may vary by day. The ferry ride takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive on Bunaken, you can rent a boat or find accommodations to explore the island.

Public Transportation

To reach Bunaken using public transportation, first take a minibus or angkot from Ternate to Sahang Port. This ride should cost around IDR 20,000 and take about 30 minutes. After arriving at Sahang Port, purchase your ferry tickets to Bunaken. The ferry fare typically costs around IDR 50,000 to IDR 70,000. The ferry journey lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you dock at Bunaken, you can hire local boat services to take you around the island or to your accommodation.

Combination of Car and Ferry

For those coming from other areas of North Maluku, you can drive or take a bus to Ternate. Once in Ternate, follow the same instructions above to reach Sahang Port. If you are coming from other parts of Sulawesi, consider flying into Ternate and then proceed to Sahang Port by taxi or public transport.
