Getting There

• Car Rental

  If you are traveling by car, you can rent a vehicle from Manado City. Start by heading east on Jl. Sam Ratulangi toward Jl. S. Parman. Continue straight onto Jl. Raya Manado - Bitung, following the signs for Bunaken. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, you will arrive at the port where you can take a ferry to Pulau Bunaken. The ferry ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bunaken, follow the local road signs or ask locals to guide you to Jl Taman Gunung Tumpa, which is located in Tongkeina, around a 10-minute drive from the ferry dock.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Jl Taman Gunung Tumpa using public transportation, start your journey from Manado City. You can take a minibus or 'angkot' heading towards the Bunaken harbor. The fare is usually around IDR 15,000 to IDR 25,000 per person. Once you reach the harbor, buy a ferry ticket to Pulau Bunaken, which costs approximately IDR 75,000 for a round trip. After arriving at Bunaken, you can either walk or hire a local motorcycle taxi to take you to Jl Taman Gunung Tumpa, which is about a 10-minute ride from the ferry dock.

  For a more private and direct approach, consider hiring a private boat from Manado directly to Pulau Bunaken. This option can be arranged through local tour operators. The cost will vary based on negotiation, but expect to pay around IDR 500,000 to IDR 1,000,000 for a boat that can accommodate a group. The boat ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you reach Bunaken, you will need to arrange for local transport, such as a motorcycle taxi, to take you to Jl Taman Gunung Tumpa, which is about a 10-minute ride.
