Getting There

  • Car

    From Pulau Bunaken, first take a boat back to the mainland. Boats typically depart from Bunaken Island to Manado. Once you arrive at Manado, you can rent a car or take a taxi. Drive towards Tomohon City. The most common route is to take the Trans Sulawesi Highway (Jalan Raya Sulawesi) heading south. Follow the signs towards Tomohon. The journey may take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. When you reach Tomohon City, follow the signs to Kayawu, which is the area where Mt Lokon is located.
