If you are traveling by car from Banjarmasin, take the Trans Kalimantan Highway (Route 2) heading north. The journey is approximately 8 hours. Follow the signs towards Pangkalan Bun. Once you reach Pangkalan Bun, continue towards the city center and then follow the signs to Tanjung Puting National Park. You will need to park your car at the designated area and then take a boat from Kumai to reach Varada Borneo. Boat fees typically range from IDR 500,000 to IDR 1,500,000 depending on the package you choose.

Public Transportation
From Banjarmasin, take a bus to Pangkalan Bun. The bus fare is around IDR 150,000 and the journey takes about 10-12 hours. Once you arrive at Pangkalan Bun, you can take a taxi or local transport to Kumai harbor, which is around 30 minutes away. At Kumai, you can hire a boat to Varada Borneo. Make sure to negotiate the boat price beforehand, as it can range from IDR 500,000 to IDR 1,500,000 depending on your tour package.
