Half Day Jakarta Private Tour in two highlight place
First, the tour took us...
First, the tour took us to the National Monument. Here we were given a brief history of Indonesia's struggle to independence from the Dutch. We had a short walk in colorful Chinatown. The highlight of the excursion was the puppet art studio where we were treated to a shadow puppet show. We also heard about the process of making puppets. The Old Town had a European. Er had some delicious cakes and tea at Batavia Cafe that was the Governor's house during the Dutch rule. We also visited the Cathedral and a huge mosque across the street. Our guide was Ine. She had good command of English and she was knowledgeable.

Batik Heritage Introduction Class with Lunch & Souvenir
Wonderful hands-on Batik learning tour
Wonderful tour and Batik learning experience! We loved the hands on creation of a small batik piece, getting to choose a design, learning to trace with the wax, and then dyeing our cloth. While the cloth dried we toured the textile museum and saw the different designs and antique batiks. We had a delicious lunch as well, along with shopping and a bit more tour of tge city, just a perfect day! Our guide Ms Fina and driver were expert at navigating the city.

Jakarta Walking Tour with Public Transportation Visiting Sites
It's a great opportunity to take a closer look at the culture & history. Definitely worth to do.
I didn't expect much through this walking tour, but it turned out great. The guide was so good at choosing the public transportation, so we can get from one place to the others in a very efficient way. Istiqlal Mosque and Cathedral are definitely stunning, the connection between Chinatown and Batavia and the quick historical background is definitely more than enough for tourists. That way, I can enjoy Jakarta in a different and more respectful ways. Tuk tuk (Bajaj) ride was fun, Transjakarta is perfectly integrated, the commuter train is always on time. What more do you want?
