Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from Biak, the nearest city. Head south on Jalan Raya Biak-Karman for approximately 30 kilometers. The road is generally well-maintained, but be cautious of local traffic and wildlife. Upon reaching the village of Karmon, look for signs directing you to Karmon Waterfall. The last stretch of the journey may require navigating smaller paths, so keep your GPS handy for precise location guidance (5XJH+W3C). Parking is available near the waterfall entrance.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus or shared taxi (angkot) from Biak to Karman village. This will cost you around IDR 30,000-50,000 depending on the vehicle and time of travel. The journey will take roughly 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Karman village, you may need to hire a local guide or walk to the waterfall, which is about a 15-20 minute trek from the village center. Ensure you confirm the price with the guide before starting your walk.

• Walking

  If you're in Karmon village, the waterfall is accessible by foot. From the village center, follow the path that leads into the lush jungle. It's advisable to wear sturdy shoes, as the trail can be muddy and uneven. The walk to Karmon Waterfall will take about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to bring water and some snacks, as facilities are limited near the waterfall.
