Car Rental
From Rantepao, take the Trans Sulawesi highway towards Makassar. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the junction at Enrekang. Turn left onto the road heading towards Mengkendek. Continue on this road for about 1.5 hours. As you approach Mengkendek, look for the sign for Batu Piak. The location is at the coordinates VV28+C35, Ke'pe Tinoring, Mengkendek, South Sulawesi 91814. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation (Minibus)
Start at the main bus terminal in Rantepao. Look for a minibus heading towards Mengkendek or Enrekang. The fare is typically around IDR 30,000. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Mengkendek, you can ask locals for directions to Batu Piak, which is known in the area. It's approximately a 20-minute walk from the main road to the site.
Motorbike Taxi (Ojek)
If you're in Rantepao and prefer a quicker option, you can hire a motorbike taxi (ojek) to take you directly to Batu Piak. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which usually ranges from IDR 100,000 to 150,000 for a round trip. The ride will take about 45 minutes, and your driver will know the way to the coordinates VV28+C35, Ke'pe Tinoring, Mengkendek.
