If you are traveling by car from the center of Tana Toraja, head south on the Jalan Poros Makassar - Palopo road. Follow the road for approximately 10 km until you reach the signs for Sangalla. Turn left at the intersection towards Sangalla and continue for about 5 km. Keep an eye out for a sign indicating Museum Buntu Kalando. The museum is located at coordinates WW76+MX6 lobe, Tongko Sarapung, Sangalla, Tana Toraja Regency. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Museum Buntu Kalando by public transportation, you can take a local 'angkot' (minibus) heading towards Sangalla. Board the angkot from the central market in Rantepao.
