Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Sorong, which is the nearest major city. Head southeast on Jl. Raya Sorong-Makbon toward Jl. Raya Waisai. Continue on this road for about 2 hours, following signs for Raja Ampat. As you approach Waisai, you will see signs for Warkesi Forest Park. When you reach Jl. Stadion Bandara, turn right and follow the road until you see the entrance to the park. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as gas stations may be sparse along the route.
Public Transportation
To reach Warkesi Forest Park via public transportation, take a bus from Sorong to Waisai. Buses leave regularly from the Sorong bus terminal, and the journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Waisai, you can take a local taxi or hire a motorbike taxi to reach Jl. Stadion Bandara, where the park is located. The taxi fare should be around IDR 20,000-30,000. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.
Boat
If you are near the coastal areas of Raja Ampat, you might consider reaching Warkesi Forest Park by boat. You can rent a boat from nearby island resorts or local fishermen. The boat ride can vary in duration depending on your starting point, but it generally takes about 30 minutes to an hour to reach Waisai. After arriving at the Waisai harbor, you can take a taxi or motorbike taxi to the park entrance.
