Getting There

  • Car

    If you're starting from Padang, take Jalan Raya Padang - Bukittinggi (Route 32) north. After about 20 km, take the exit towards Sintuak. Continue on this road for approximately 15 km until you reach Unnamed Road. Turn left onto Unnamed Road. Follow the signs for Sawah, which will be on your right after another 5 km.

  • Public Transportation

    From Padang, head to the Terminal Bayangan or the main bus terminal. Look for a bus or minivan heading to Bukittinggi. Inform the driver you want to stop at Sintuak. The fare is approximately IDR 30,000. After reaching Sintuak, you can hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) to take you the remaining 5 km to Sawah for around IDR 15,000.

    If you are already in Sintuak, you can hire an ojek to take you directly to Sawah. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should be around IDR 15,000 for the short ride. The journey takes about 15 minutes.
