From the center of Kotagede, head southeast on Jl. Brigjen Katamso. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Jl. Kebun Raya. Turn right onto Jl. Kebun Raya and walk for approximately 500 meters. The entrance to Museum Satwa Gembira Loka Zoo will be on your left. Look for the prominent signboard and the main entrance.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Kotagede. Start from the central area and head southeast on Jl. Brigjen Katamso. Continue for about 1 km and then take a right onto Jl. Kebun Raya. The zoo is about 500 meters down this road on your left. Biking is a great way to enjoy the sights along the way.
