From Malioboro Street, head south towards Jl. Margo Mulyo. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Jl. Prawirotaman. Turn left onto Jl. Prawirotaman and continue walking until you reach Jl. Margo Mulyo. The 1 March 1949 Monument is located on the right side at Jl. Margo Mulyo No.6, Ngupasan, Kec. Gondomanan, Yogyakarta. The total walking distance is approximately 1 kilometer and should take around 15-20 minutes.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops along Malioboro Street. Once you have your bike, head south on Malioboro Street and then turn left onto Jl. Margo Mulyo. Continue cycling straight until you reach the 1 March 1949 Monument located at Jl. Margo Mulyo No.6. The distance is roughly 1 kilometer, and cycling should take about 5-10 minutes.

Public Transportation (Trans Jogja Bus)
Although the 1 March 1949 Monument is close to Malioboro, you can also use the Trans Jogja bus for a more extensive experience of the city. Board the Trans Jogja bus from the nearest stop to Malioboro (Malioboro 1). Take Line 1A towards Jl. Magelang and get off at the stop 'Margo Mulyo'. From there, it is a short walk to the monument, which is just a few minutes away. A single journey on the bus costs around IDR 3,500.
