If you are starting from the Iowa State University campus, head west on Lincoln Way towards the intersection with Douglas Avenue. Once you reach Douglas Avenue, turn left and continue south for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 5th Street. The Rainbow Crosswalk will be located at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and 5th Street on your right.

If you are coming from downtown Ames, start at Main Street and head north on 5th Street. Continue straight for about 0.4 miles. You will pass by several shops and cafes. When you reach the intersection of 5th Street and Douglas Avenue, you will see the Rainbow Crosswalk directly in front of you.

If you have a bike, you can start at the ISU campus and follow the same route as a pedestrian. Biking west on Lincoln Way, then south on Douglas Avenue will be the quickest route. Stay in the bike lane and enjoy the ride until you reach the intersection of Douglas Avenue and 5th Street.

You can take the CyRide bus service to get close to the Rainbow Crosswalk. Board the Orange Line at any of the designated stops on campus or downtown. Ride to the 5th and Douglas stop.
