If you are starting from downtown Ames, head east on Main Street toward 6th Street. Continue walking straight for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with Lincoln Way. Turn left onto Lincoln Way and walk for about a quarter of a mile. You will see the Iowa State Center on your right at 1900 Center Dr. It's about a 20-minute walk.
