If you are near downtown Cedar Rapids, head to the nearest bus stop and take Cedar Rapids Transit Route 3 (Cedar Rapids City Transit). Board the bus heading towards the 'Cedar Rapids Public Library.' Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the '2nd Ave SE & 8th St SE' stop. From there, walk south on 2nd Ave SE for about 3 blocks until you reach The History Center located at 800 2nd Ave SE. The entrance will be on your right.

If you are already in the vicinity of downtown Cedar Rapids, you can easily walk to The History Center. Start at Greene Square Park, located at 4th Ave SE & 2nd St SE. From Greene Square Park, head east on 4th Ave SE for 2 blocks until you reach 2nd St SE. Turn left (north) on 2nd St SE and walk for 4 blocks until you reach 2nd Ave SE. Turn right (east) on 2nd Ave SE and walk for about 2 blocks. The History Center will be on your left at 800 2nd Ave SE.

If you prefer biking, Cedar Rapids has several bike lanes. Start from downtown Cedar Rapids and head south on 2nd St SE. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 miles. You will cross several intersections, so be cautious. Once you reach the intersection with 8th Ave SE, turn left (east) and continue for 1 block. Turn right (south) on 2nd Ave SE and The History Center will be on your right at 800 2nd Ave SE.
