Walking
If you are starting from the Council Bluffs Public Library, head north on 16th St toward Pierce St. Turn right onto Pierce St and walk until you reach 8th St. Turn left onto 8th St and continue walking for about 1.5 miles. You will see the entrance to Big Lake Park on your left at 2600 N 8th St.
Biking
From the downtown area, take the bike path along the Missouri River. Follow the path north until you reach the intersection with 8th St. Turn left onto 8th St and bike for about 2 miles. Big Lake Park will be on your right at 2600 N 8th St.
Public Transit
Take the Metro Transit bus Route 4 from the Council Bluffs Transit Center. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop closest to 8th St. Walk north on 8th St for approximately 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at Big Lake Park, located at 2600 N 8th St.
