From there, transfer to the CyRide Route 23, which goes directly to Iowa State University. Ride the bus until you reach the 'Reiman Gardens' stop. The gardens will be a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the bike share stations in downtown Des Moines. Head out on University Avenue, which will take you directly towards Ames. The ride is approximately 30 miles and will take about 2 hours. Follow University Boulevard all the way until you reach 1407 University Blvd, where Reiman Gardens is located. Make sure to follow bike lanes and traffic rules.

Walking to Reiman Gardens from downtown Des Moines is quite a trek, as it is about 30 miles away and would take several hours. It is not recommended due to the distance. However, if you are determined, you can start at the Iowa State Capitol and head north on 2nd Avenue, continuing along the scenic route. Prepare for a long journey, and ensure you have plenty of water and snacks.
