If you are starting from the Des Moines Civic Center at 221 Walnut St, head west down Walnut St towards 10th St. Turn left onto 10th St and continue south until you reach Locust St. Turn right onto Locust St and walk until you reach the Riverwalk area. Follow the Riverwalk path to the west until you see signs for Rotary Riverwalk Park. The park entrance will be on your left at 821 W River Dr, Des Moines, IA 50309.

From downtown Des Moines, locate the nearest bus stop for DART (Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority). Take the Route 3 bus heading towards Merle Hay Mall. Get off at the stop at 9th St and Walnut St. From there, walk west on Walnut St until you reach 10th St. Turn left onto 10th St and continue south to Locust St. Turn right onto Locust St and then follow the Riverwalk path to the west until you reach Rotary Riverwalk Park at 821 W River Dr.

If you have access to a bike, start from the Downtown Des Moines area. Follow the bike lanes on 2nd Ave north until you reach the Des Moines River. Once you reach the river, follow the bike path along the riverbank heading west.
